Terms of Service

What I do

I design, build, and maintain custom websites and web apps, and I can keep them hosted and updated for you. Anything outside that is only included if it’s written into your quote.

Scope and quotes

Each project is defined by a written quote. Work beyond that scope is quoted separately before I start it. I’ll always tell you before anything changes the price.

What you do

To keep things moving, you agree to:

• Give me the content, access, and feedback I need, in good time.
• Make sure anything you send me (text, images, logos) is yours to use or properly licensed.
• Pay invoices on the schedule in your quote.

Payment

Payment terms are set in your quote: usually a deposit to start, and the balance on completion. Third-party costs like hosting, domains, and paid plugins are billed at cost or paid directly by you.

You own everything

Once you’ve paid in full, the final website and its custom code are yours. You keep ownership of the content and branding you provide. I keep the right to reuse my own general techniques and to show the finished work in my portfolio unless you ask me in writing not to.

Maintenance and hosting

If you’re on a care plan, it covers what’s listed in that plan. It doesn’t cover rebuilds, new features, or problems caused by changes made by others. Those are quoted separately.

Liability

I build carefully, but I can’t guarantee the site will be uninterrupted or error-free, and I’m not liable for indirect losses like lost profits or downtime. My total liability is limited to what you paid me for the work in question.

Ending the work

Either of us can end a project with reasonable written notice. You pay for the work completed up to that point, and I hand over what you’ve paid for.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Québec and Canada. We’ll try to sort out any disagreement by talking first.
